MUZAIC Festival 2019

The Cayman Music and Entertainment Assoc. (CMEA) is once again preparing to host their 11th Annual MUZAIC Festival weekend on the Heroes Day Holiday Weekend January 25th thru 28 2019.

The festival format is the same as in previous years, hosting five key events over the four day holiday weekend. ‘Establishing and keeping with tradition and culture is something vitally important in our island community today" says CMEA President Jeán - eric Smith.

The four day weekend MUZAIC festival kicks off as usual at sunset on Friday January 25th with The DJ's Showcase. However, this year (2019) the DJ Showcase will be literally three times bigger and better than before. Stay tuned for locations and line up information.

Then on Saturday afternoon the sounds of the Young Musicians Showcase will once again reverberate from the walls of the Harquail Theater starting at 1pm until 5pm. This family friendly event is free to the public. Come out and show your support for the musicians of tomorrow.

Later that Saturday evening the CMEA will host its Heroes Salute which is an intimate evening of local performances at the Havana Club in Caribbean Plaza on Seven Mile Rd. in honour of all Heroes Day 2019 recipients. There is an extensive guest list for this event as all Heroes Day honourees are provided free entry as guest of the CMEA and attendees are encouraged to reserve their seat early because this event is free to all ladies and a CI$10 cover charge for men.

Sunday night will be the 11th MUZAIC Awards ceremony which will once again be held at the Harquail Theater. Gates open at 6pm with a live music meet and greet followed by the official opening at 7pm.

Monday's grand finale, The Live Music Showcase, will for the first time be incorporated into the National Heroes Day Awards ceremony post awards entertainment on Monday January 28th at Heroes Sq. and will be free admission to the public. The live music is envisioned to start at approximately three (3pm) and continue until closing.
