EDITORIAL: Merry Christmas

As we get ready to celebrate our 6th Christmas, Caymanian Times formerly Cayman Weekly, wishes all of its sponsors and readers a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

We have maintained our committment of being impartial with the content of our articles whilst keeping the focus on local issues, employment and education. As the new year arrives we will continue to maintain a nuetral approach to contraversal topics that need to stay in the limelight and not be swept underground.

The Cayman Islands faces many challenges ahead and as other neighbouring territories struggle with their financial survival, we must be vigilant and moniter our economy closely in order to avoid disastrous surprises.

For the Christmas holidays, let us put our differences aside and embrace comradery and support for the less fortunate. We are still our brother’s keeper and should find ways to encourage growth and success amongst those who may be left behind.

The Cayman Islands is still a paradise and is the envy of many. We must continue to protect this treasure for our children in order to afford them the successes and standards of living that we have enjoyed over the last four decades.
