Scotiabank moves to Camana Bay

Scotiabank has announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art digital branch facility at 18 Forum Lane, Camana Bay in five weeks on April 16. Due to the proximity and capacity to accommodate a high volume of customer transactions, Scotia Centre Branch, George Town, and Strand Branch, Seven Mile Beach, will relocate to the new digital branch facility at 18 Forum Lane, Camana Bay.

This will be the first fully digital branch in the Cayman Islands and one of only four fully digital Scotiabank branches in the Caribbean Region.

The additional features will engender a distinctive culture of service. It is our goal that this location will become synonymous with continuous learning where our clients can discover, connect and partner with our Scotiabank team.” said Dwight Burrows, Managing Director, Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd.

Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd. Plans to change the face of banking in the Cayman Islands, offering some of the newest advancements in full service digital banking.

With their continued focus on the customer, the new branch facility has been designed with the customer and future of digital banking in mind. The new branch will deliver an enhanced customer experience featuring:

• on-site concierge to demonstrate new self-service channel offerings, assist with customer queries, share helpful tips and give customers the opportunity to provide real-time feedback;

• social hub with tablets providing greater emphasis on digital banking so customers can browse online content and perform onsite internet banking transactions;

• modern facilities and enhanced branch aesthetics to support convenient and hassle-free banking; and

• free and accessible parking.

The full transition is expected to be completed by Friday, April 20, 2018, with the move of all business lines to the new location delivering improved facilities and an enhanced client banking experience. Until this date all banking operations will remain business as usual.

“Camana Bay provides a number of benefits for both our staff and our customers. The new branch provides a central location, free and accessible parking and modern facilities in close proximity to necessary amenities.” stated Mr. Burrows.

“We are excited to be the first bank to usher in a new and exciting digital era of banking to better serve the Cayman Islands community, added Mr. Burrows. “Scotiabank has a long history in the Caribbean – 129 years in the Region and 53 years in the Cayman Islands. This move reaffirms our commitment to the local community providing a higher level of service to our customers. Our new branch is an achievement and investment of which we are proud. We will not only enhance our service offering but further cement our position, now and in the future, as the Bank of choice in the Cayman Islands.”
