HATITUDE TEA IN THE SECRET GARDEN

With a nod to “Secret gardens”, the National Trust for the Cayman Islands hosted Hatitude, one of their major fund raising events of the year on Saturday March 20th. Ristorante Pappagallo was transformed into an enchanting secret garden thanks to décor sponsors Celebrations and the Garden Club of the Cayman Islands.

Guests donned their finest and most creative hats for hat parades while enjoying tea, a silent auction and raffle filled with fantastic prizes donated by several individuals and businesses in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.

“Hatitude was a grand success” shared Annick Jackman, Executive Director for the National Trust. “As one of our biggest fundraisers of the year we are deeply grateful to all who attended our event, to our sponsors and to every business that donated a prize towards our raffle. The National Trust are custodians of some of Cayman’s precious historic and environmental gems. The funds raised from these events goes towards supporting our environmental and historic programmes”.

The National Trust is grateful to the Headline sponsors: Mercedes Benz and 1503 Property Group as well as gold sponsor: Cayman Islands Registry and silver sponsor Cayman Water Authority. A special thank you to our event sponsors: Jacques Scott Wine & Spirits, Tea Time in Cayman and the Grand Cayman Marriott Grand Cayman. Additional heartfelt thanks the local business who donated items for the raffle prizes and artists (Dr. Guy Harvey, Carlos Garcia and Chasing the Sun) who donated items for the silent auction.
