Sandy Lane reopens for celebs

Sandy Lane, the legendary Barbados upmarket resort where Tiger Woods got married in 2004, has reopened. Oprah Winfrey interviewed one of Barbados' most famous exports, Rihanna, at Sandy Lane where A-listers like Serena Williams, Simon Cowell, Sir Elton John, Gwyneth Paltrow and even The Queen have stayed.

The luxe resort has a total of 113 rooms and suites, along with one signature five-bedroom villa. The property, which first opened in 1961, is set on 1,000 feet of beachfront on the western coast of the island and boasts three golf courses as well as a range of fabulous facilities.

Barbados reopened in July. It announced another update to its covid protocols, which currently include a requirement of a negative PCR test result within three days before arrival and a second test four to five days after arrival.
