Following an investigation into the collision that took place on 8th August at Anton Bodden Drive involving an excavator and a black Chevy Tahoe, police discerned that a report was made in relation to persons interfering with the same heavy equipment the evening prior to this incident
Shortly before 12:30AM on Thursday morning, 8 August, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a report that a CAT excavator was parked along the roadside on Anton Bodden Drive, Bodden Town, with the excavator arm extending into the roadway.
ON Thursday morning, 8 August, officers arrested a man, age 76 of Cayman Brac, on suspicion of murder in relation to the death of 35-year-old Eva Glee Ebanks
This past weekend, officers received several reports of a group of between two and ten juvenile males, believed to be between 12 and 15 years old, approaching members of the public and firing shots at them with what appears to be a pellet gun or gel blaster.
RCIPS has received reports that local banking customers have received calls from overseas numbers from individuals claiming to be from their banks ’Fraud Unit’.
On Monday, 5 August, officers on patrol along Marie Mollie Hydes Road in West Bay observed a vehicle partially blocking the roadway and the occupants of the vehicle behaving suspiciously.
As the RCIPS continues in its efforts to encourage persons to relinquish their unlicensed firearms, two more firearms were handed in this past weekend.
The RCIPS is currently in its fourth week of the National Gun Amnesty which began on the 1st July, 2024.
On Wednesday 24 July, RCIPS supported its partner agencies CBC and WORC on a joint operation targeting a George Town construction site, to identify and apprehend persons found to be committing immigration offences.
