3 Positive COVID-19 cases reported today
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 331 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Thursday, 4 March 2021. Three were positive.
The individuals are travellers who tested positive following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.
The Ministry of Health has conducted spot checks and contacted the originating laboratories for some COVID-19 PCR test results presented by incoming travelers. No irregularities have been found to date.
The number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes, as required by the Medical Officer of Health, will be provided when available.
The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 26,580.
So far, 17,702 (27.2% of the estimated population) have received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, while 8,878 have completed the two-dose course.
