The Cayman Islands welcomed 42,757 visitors in April 2025, a 15% increase over the same period in 2024.

The United States continued to show significant growth. Visitors from the South and Northeast United States showed double digit increases of 28.3% and 25.3% year-over-year. The Midwest also saw an increase of 9.6%.

Canada delivered modest growth of 1.4% over April 2024 representing 5.9% of the total stayover arrivals for the month.

In the UK & Ireland April’s arrivals increased by 45.3% year over year representing 4.5% of stayover arrivals for the month while visitors from Continental Europe increased by 25.8%.

Arrivals from Latin America saw a significant increase of 19% when compared to the same period in 2024.

“April’s excellent results demonstrate the power of partnership,” said the Hon. Gary Rutty Deputy Premier and Minister of Tourism. “These statistics are tangible results of success because of the active collaboration the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism exercises in engaging with our on-island partners to drive demand and with our aviation partners to ensure that we have the necessary airlift to complement our marketing and business development efforts.”

So those figures come out to an average of 822.25 individual visitors per week.

There are 2,800 hotel rooms and 5,300 vacation rental rooms in the Cayman Islands.

Something is not "mathing" here. If each visitor had their own room we would barely be at 10% occupancy.
