CAL cancels flights as Kingston airport closes

CAL cancels flights as Kingston airport closes ahead of TS Melissa

Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) has been notified that the Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston, Jamaica will be temporarily closed as of 8pm tonight, October 25, 2025, due to the path of Tropical Storm Melissa. Therefore, the following CAL Kingston flights will be cancelled:

Sunday October 26, 2025

Flights KX608 & KX609

Monday October 27, 2025

Flights KX600 & KX601

Tuesday October 28, 2025

Flights KX602 & KX603

Affected customers will be accommodated on future flights when the safe resumption of service is possible. Customers are therefore reminded to ensure that their ticket reservations are updated with an accurate email address and phone number where they can be reached by the airline with flight updates.

Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) confirms that extra flights between Grand Cayman and Kingston have been added for today, Saturday October 25, 2025 to assist passengers with their travel needs ahead of Tropical Storm Melissa. The extra flights are scheduled as follows:

 

KX3602: Departs Grand Cayman (GCM) at 3:50PM, and arrives Kingston (KIN) at 5:05PM

KX3603: Departs Kingston (KIN) at 6:05PM, and arrives Grand Cayman (GCM) at 7:20PM

 

Passengers can easily update their contact details themselves via CAL’s website. Simply visit www.caymanairways.com, on the homepage go to "Manage My Bookings"(under the main booking window), and select "Passenger Details".

Alternatively, call the Cayman Airways Call Center at 345-949-2311 in the Cayman Islands, or 866-759-1372 toll free in Jamaica. Our Reservations Call Center hours are daily 7am-9pm.
