The Cayman Islands Brewery (Caybrew) is excited to announce the launch of Paws Ale, a limited-edition pale ale crafted in support of the Cayman Islands Humane Society (CIHS). This refreshing brew not only delights the palate but also contributes to a noble cause, caring for the islands’ homeless cats and dogs.
Paws Ale is a light-bodied pale ale with tropical fruit notes, a hint of citrus, and a low 3.8% ABV, making it the perfect drink for sunny beach days and casual hangouts with your furry friends. Each can features a whimsical illustration of a cat and dog on the beach, along with a QR code that makes it easy for consumers to donate directly to CIHS ‘Meow.’
For every case sold, Caybrew will donate $3 to CIHS, supporting their efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. “We are excited about this partnership,” said Craig Webster, Caybrew’s General Manager. “The team at Caybrew are huge animal lovers, and supporting CIHS aligns with our commitment to community initiatives.”
Samantha Peterson, Board of Directors member who chairs the fundraising committee for CIHS, expressed gratitude for the collaboration: “We’re incredibly grateful for this partnership, it brings vital resources to support our mission and helps shine a much needed light on the welfare of homeless cats and dogs across the Cayman Islands.”
To celebrate the launch of Paws Ale, Caybrew will kick things off with a Yappy Hour and dog wash event on Saturday, 12 July at Sunset House. There will also be ongoing incentives for dog walkers, encouraging the public to help walk shelter dogs.
Paws Ale cans hit the shelves in early July and will be available at the Caybrew Taproom and local retailers.
