The Cayman Islands Basketball Association (CIBA) is excited to announce the launch of the inaugural Cayman Islands Hoop Fest, an international youth basketball tournament that will take place from July 3 to 5, 2025, at the Arts & Recreation Centre (ARC) in Camana Bay.
The tournament will showcase the Cayman Islands National Under-17 Boys Team as they face off against elite youth teams from Jamaica (Campion College) and the Texas Tigers (USA). Hoop Fest is designed to provide Caymanian athletes with vital international experience, exposing them to high-level competition while allowing them to represent their country on home soil.
Admission to the event is CI $10.00 per day for adults and CI $5.00 for children under 10. Fans can also purchase an All-Tournament Pass for CI $25.00, which offers access to all games and saves nearly 20% off daily pricing.
Game times are as follows: July 3rd: 6 and 8 pm @ the ARC July 4th: 6 and 8 pm @ the ARC July 5th: 5 and 7 pm @ the John Gray Gymnasium
“This is more than just a tournament—it’s a major step forward for youth basketball in the Cayman Islands,” said Collin Anglin, President of the Cayman Islands Basketball Association. “Events like this help develop our national team players and promote Cayman as a destination for competitive sports and youth development. It also reduces our cost per international game significantly!”
The Cayman Islands Hoop Fest is proudly sponsored by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage, Cost-U-Less, One Sports Cayman and Dynamic Sports & Events. Their generous support plays a vital role in creating opportunities for youth and promoting community engagement through sport.
Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support for Cayman’s rising stars. Fans can expect an exciting atmosphere, competitive games, and opportunities to celebrate national pride throughout the event.
