Cayman Islands Men’s National Team set for League B challenge at Concacaf Nations League

The Cayman Islands Men's National Team (CIMNT) has been drawn into Group A of League B for the 2026-27 Concacaf Nations League, where it will face Guyana, Puerto Rico and Dominica in the competition that also serves as qualification for the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup.

The draw marks Cayman's first League B appearance after earning promotion from League C during the previous Nations League cycle. The achievement represented another important milestone for the national program, with the team now set to compete against higher-ranked opposition as it continues its development.

"Earning promotion to League B was a significant achievement for this group, but we've always viewed it as the beginning of the next step rather than the destination," CIMNT Head Coach Dougie Rowe said. "We'll be facing quality opposition, and that's exactly the type of football our players need. Every match will demand discipline, resilience and belief, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to continue proving ourselves at this level."

League B features 16 teams divided into four groups of four. Teams will play each opponent home and away for a total of six matches during the FIFA international windows in September, October and November 2026. The winner of each group advances to the inaugural Concacaf Nations League B Finals and earn promotion to League A. The fourth-place team in each group will be relegated to League C.

The fifth edition of the Concacaf Nations League includes all 41 Concacaf member associations and serves as the qualification pathway to the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup. League A features 16 teams, League B consists of 16 teams and League C includes nine teams.
