Cayman Islands U23 Men’s 3x3 Basketball Team Set to Compete at 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay

The Cayman Islands Basketball Association (CIBA) is proud to announce that the U23 Men’s National 3x3 Basketball Team will represent the nation at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games, to be held in Asuncion, Paraguay from August 15–17.

This marks a historic first for Cayman Basketball, as it is the first time the Cayman Islands has qualified to compete in basketball at the Junior Pan American Games — a testament to the nation’s rapid rise in the FIBA 3x3 World Rankings over the past two years.

Game Schedule – Cayman Islands (Cayman Time)

• August 15 – Cayman vs Paraguay |  9:30 AM

• August 16 – Cayman vs Mexico | 9:30 AM

These are the preliminary games of which the outcome will determine team advancement.

A Milestone for Cayman Basketball

Cayman’s qualification comes as the nation’s 3x3 program continues to gain international recognition. Over the past two years, the Cayman Islands has achieved unprecedented success, including qualifying for the FIBA U23 3x3 Nations League and now securing a place in the Junior Pan Am Games.
