Week three of play in the 2025 Inter-Primary Cricket Competition continued this past Friday, May 16 with a number of exciting games played across the Island.
Eager to retain the titles they won in 2023, the boys and girls from Cayman Prep A took on Marie Martin Primary in Zone B at the Annex Field. Batting first, Marie Martin Primary’s young ladies struggled to find their batting rhythm finishing with a score of 40 runs from the allotted overs. Cayman Prep A responded with an almost effortless 42 to secure the win.
In the boys contest, Cayman Prep A secured the double and the three points with a 49 run to 46 run victory over the young men from Marie Martin Primary.

Zone A Girls:
Red Bay Primary secured their first win of the season defeating Cayman Prep B 60 runs to 59 runs, Joanna Clarke Primary got past Theoline L. McCoy Primary 46 runs to 33 runs and East End Primary downed Prospect Primary 84 runs to 75 runs. The game between Edna Moyle Primary and Island Primary A was postponed.
Zone B Girls:
Cayman International School beat Sir John A. Cumber Primary 48 runs to 46 runs. The games between Island Primary B versus St. Ignatius Catholic School and Cayman Academy versus Footsteps School were postponed.
Zone A Boys:
In a high-scoring matchup, Cayman Prep B defeated Red Bay Primary 126 runs to 104 runs, Joanna Clarke Primary outlasted Theoline L. McCoy Primary 90 runs to 67 runs and Prospect Primary downed East End Primary 100 runs to 99 runs. The game between Edna Moyle Primary and Island Primary A was postponed.
Zone B Boys:
Sir John A. Cumber Primary got the better of Cayman International School 76 runs to 73 runs. The games between Island Primary B versus St. Ignatius Catholic School and Cayman Academy versus Footsteps School were postponed.
Round four of the 2025 season continues this Friday, May 23 with a full schedule of games including:
Zone A Girls and Boys: Joanna Clarke Primary vs. Red Bay Primary (at Joanna Clarke Primary), Prospect Primary vs. Cayman Prep B (at Prospect Primary), Theoline L. McCoy Primary vs. Island Primary A (at Theoline L. McCoy Primary) and Edna Moyle Primary vs. East End Primary (at Edna Moyle Primary).
Zone B Girls and Boys: Cayman Academy vs. St. Ignatius Catholic (at Red Bay Primary), Island Primary B vs. Sir John A. Cumber Primary (at the Smith Road Oval), Marie Martin Primary vs. Footsteps School (at the Annex Field) and Cayman Prep A vs. Cayman International School (at Camana Bay)
The Inter-Primary Cricket Competition is organised and coordinated by the Department of Education Services, the Department of Sports and the Cayman Islands Cricket Association and sponsored in part by Caribbean Utilities Company, Ltd. (CUC).
