Cayman’s U23 National Teams Head to Chile for FIBA 3x3 Nations League – A World Cup Qualifier

The Cayman Islands Basketball Association (CIBA) is proud to announce that its U23 Men’s and Women’s National 3x3 Teams will travel to Punta Arenas, Chile to compete in the FIBA U23 3x3 Nations League – Americas Conference, from July 21–27, 2025.

The tournament serves as an official FIBA World Cup U23 Qualifier, positioning Cayman on the global stage as one of the fastest-rising nations in 3x3 basketball.

Representing the Cayman Islands:

U23 Men’s Team:

• Nathaniel Hurlston-Anderson (Captain)

• Bryan Ebanks

• Alwin Buttrum Jr.

• Toure Montague

• Umar Gordon

• Brad Lansdell

U23 Women’s Team:

• Lyandrea Watson (Captain)

• Annika Moore

• Jamie Rankin-Maize

• Soleya Manzanares

• Bethany Ebanks

The tournament will feature top-tier competition from basketball powerhouses such as the USA, Canada, Argentina, and Chile.

A Milestone Moment for Cayman Basketball

This marks another historic achievement for Cayman basketball, as the nation’s rapid rise in the FIBA 3x3 global rankings over the past two years has led to significant breakthroughs—including qualification for the Junior Pan American Games for the first time in national history.

“Our participation in the FIBA Nations League is a reflection of the tremendous growth we’ve seen in 3x3 and the dedication of our athletes, coaches, and supporters,” said Collin Anglin, President of CIBA. “To be competing at this level, with the opportunity to qualify for a World Cup, speaks volumes about the talent coming out of the Cayman Islands. We are incredibly proud and excited for what lies ahead.”
