The Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA) is pleased to announce the launch of its 6th annual scholarship program aimed at nurturing future leaders in marketing and related fields.
The scholarship provides marketing students or those studying a related discipline, CI$5,000 towards university tuition for the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semester.
Kadron Bird, Head of Community at CIMPA, stated, “We are happy to support students interested in pursuing a degree in marketing or a related career like graphic design. CIMPA’s scholarship award, along with our training initiatives throughout the year, are part of our/the non-profit’s goal to advance the skills and education of new and existing marketers, helping to strengthen the industry in Cayman.”
Jaxon Bodden, Graphic Design student at Lynn University in Florida, USA, and the most recent recipient of CIMPA’s marketing scholarship shared, “Life at Lynn has kept me really busy as I am balancing academics with my personal life. So far, this has been such a rewarding time. I’ve been introduced to amazing technology that brings the art of Graphic Design to life.
“The thing that has surprised me most about this journey is the passion that I am gaining in developing my craft. The grant of this scholarship helps ensure that I continue my dream of becoming a Graphic Designer and making a difference in the way that everyday products are marketed to the public.”
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must show acceptance to an accredited college or university, complete a personal statement, and be Caymanian or a resident of the Cayman Islands for the past four consecutive years. To make applications stand out further, students are encouraged to submit examples, or a portfolio of work related to their study.
Applicants must submit their entry through the submission of an online form at www.cimpa.ky/scholarship . The submission period is now open and the deadline is June 15, 2024.
The scholarship will be awarded to the candidate who meets the minimum criteria and best demonstrates interest in their desired field of study. The winner will be announced at the CIMPA Awards Gala.
