Hundreds supported last year’s event

World Walks Against Dementia 2026 is staged again soon. Dementia is an awful disease that is on the increase which is why so many people in the Cayman Islands is so supportive of this event.

The second annual World Walk Against Dementia 2026 promises to be as well attended as last year’s inaugural one which saw hundreds participate. Every step taken is a step toward hope, awareness, and support for individuals and families living with dementia.

The community comes together with the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Association of the Cayman Islands (ADACI) as they walk, run, and stand united to raise awareness and make a difference in the community.

The 5K Walk/Run is on Sunday, 6 September, start and finish at Camana Bay
Registration: 5:00am, Walk/Run begins: 6:00am. Registration Adults: $25, Children 17 & Under: $10. Registration includes an event T-shirt. After the event, enjoy: Finisher Medals, Raffle Prizes and Refreshments.

An event organiser said: “With each step, we honour life, cherish memory, and walk in love. Guided by hope, we move forward—because those touched by dementia will never be forgotten. Together, let’s paint Cayman purple and show that no one faces dementia alone.”
