Elections Office Advisory on Campaign Material Removal
The Elections Office reminds all candidates and referendum stakeholders that, under the Elections Act and the Referendum Act, all campaign signs, billboards, banners, and similar promotional materials must be removed before Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
Failure to comply with these requirements constitutes a serious election offence. Any individual found in breach of these provisions may, upon summary conviction, be subject to a fine of up to CI$500 or imprisonment for a term of up to six months.
These regulations are in place to protect the fairness, neutrality, and integrity of the voting process.
Candidates, agents, and referendum stakeholders are strongly urged to ensure all campaign materials are fully removed by the required deadline to avoid legal consequences.
The Elections Office thanks all participants for their cooperation and commitment to upholding the principles of a fair and transparent electoral and referendum process.
