The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) and the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Heritage are advising the public of the following road closures to facilitate the 2025 Emancipation Day activities:
Sunday, 4 May from 12pm to Monday, 5 May 12am:
• Seafarer’s Way will be closed from Goring Avenue to Fort Street.
• The junction of Goring Avenue and Shedden Road will also be closed.
Sunday, 4 May 6pm to Monday, 5 May 12am:
• Albert Panton Street and Cardinall Avenue will be closed.
Note:
• The Port Authority will have local access.
• Security will be provided at barricade points.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling in these areas during these times, and to obey any traffic signs, barriers, or instructions from officers present. The RCIPS and the Ministry thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure a safe and fun Emancipation Day.
