Today, HE Governor Roper wished The Queen a speedy recovery from Covid.
On his FB page he posted “I know I speak for everyone across our three islands in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a speedy recovery from Covid. Buckingham Palace has announced that Her Majesty has mild symptoms and is undertaking light duties. Our very best wishes to Her Majesty from all of us in the Cayman Islands.
I similar fashion on his FB account the Speaker noted “Wishing Her Majesty the Queen well , and a speedy and full recovery on behalf of the people of West Bay West all Members of Parliament and my family and my self
God save the Queen !
UK Media reports on Sunday stated that The queen may have contracted the virus from her eldest son and heir, Prince Charles, who tested positive for the second time earlier this month and has been in recent contact with the queen. Charles' wife, Duchess Camilla, tested positive for COVID last week.
The queen is fully vaccinated, according to BBC. It was announced on Jan. 9, 2021 that she had received her first shot.
