Highly likely to succeed, collaborative, and a natural leader with a positive attitude are just a few of the phrases used by her professors and mentors to describe the CG BritCay 2025 Insurance Scholarship recipient Janani Kumar.

Awarded USD $25,000 towards tuition and other higher education costs, she is poised to enter her final year of undergraduate study at the University of Southampton in the UK and is blazing a bright trail in a field pursued by just a handful of talented local students - actuarial science.

Congratulating Miss Kumar, Audrey Prendergast CG BritCay’s HR Manager shared, “Janani exemplifies what we seek to encourage through this scholarship - a remarkable drive for academic achievement, valuable professional experience, and a profound dedication to making a positive impact within the community.

“She stood out among an impressive group of applicants, and we have every confidence that she will continue to excel, making meaningful contributions both here in Cayman and beyond. We are proud to support her on this journey.”

The CG BritCay Insurance Scholarship is awarded biennially and provides USD $25,000 per annum for up to two years. The scholarship is open to Caymanians and permanent residents maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA, who are entering their second or third year of undergraduate studies at an accredited university. It is designed for students pursuing degrees in actuarial science, business or commerce, economics, insurance, mathematics, or risk management.
