John Gray High School (JGHS) celebrated the accomplishments of 233 graduates during its 2025 Graduation Ceremony, held under the theme “Get in the Game.”
The evening brought together government leaders, educators, families, and supporters, including Her Excellency the Governor, Mrs. Jane Owen, and Honourable Rolston Anglin, J.P., M.P., Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Education and Training, to honour the achievements of this year’s graduates.
Acting Principal Patricia Forbes commended the Class of 2025 for their perseverance and teamwork.
“Their journey has been one of resilience and preserverance, and tonight we celebrate not just their accomplishments, but their growth mindset,” she said.
The graduates achieved outstanding academic results, with 92% earning a diploma and many attaining high honours across CSEC, CAPE, Cambridge, and GCSE examinations.
Several also earned Microsoft Specialist and Expert certifications, while others excelled in sports, the arts, and leadership.
Throughout the evening, numerous awards were presented to recognise the academic excellence, leadership, and special achievements of students across a wide range of disciplines. Among the stand-out honourees, Lola Haworth received the evening’s highest honour, the Student of the Year Award — in recognition of her exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and active participation in extracurricular activities. She also earned the DART STEM Award, full Microsoft Expert certification, and subject awards in English, Physics, Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Physical Education, Caribbean Studies, and the Health City Top Science Student Award.
Leadership Awards were presented to Jamie-Dean Stewart, Leilani Gulcharan, and Martin Ebanks for their initiative and exemplary citizenship.
