King’s Coronation and Birthday Tree Planting
16 trees were planted by students and Protect Our Future at CIS on their campus this week.
These trees were planted in Honor of His Majesty King Charles’ Coronation and the King’s Birthday as part of CIS’ continued partnership and generous donations with Dart and the Ministry of Sustainability and Climate Change Resiliency.
The trees were donated thanks to Dart and the Ministry of Sustainability and Climate Change Resiliency as part of an ongoing project with the Caribbean Tree Planting Initiative in partnership with the UN.
Through the tree planting initiative, students supported local biodiversity, enhanced community, and worked together to combat climate change.
Three United Nations Sustainable Devlopment Goals were also met with the tree planting - SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13 Climate Action, and SDG 15 Life on land.
