Leadership Cayman Graduation Class of 2025
Leadership Cayman Graduation Class of 2025
The Chamber of Commerce marked its 60th anniversary with a landmark celebration: the graduation of the Leadership Cayman Class of 2025. Held at the Marriott Grand Cayman, the ceremony honoured 22 rising leaders who completed the six-month programme that has shaped more than 360 alumni since its launch in 2010.
The evening was equal parts reflection and celebration, capturing the journey of professionals who started as strangers and became a team driven by purpose, connection, and service.
From Connection to Leadership
In opening remarks, graduate Eshan Vij captured the group’s evolution:
“From a room full of different personalities, we became a team. Leadership is about service, humility, and courage. We’ve learned not only from the experts, but from each other.”
The ceremony highlighted how the Class of 2025 engaged with key industries across the islands—exploring sectors like education, infrastructure, sustainability, and healthcare—through hands-on seminars and site visits. Their capstone project, the Heritage Hunt, developed in partnership with the National Trust, was an island-wide scavenger hunt designed to promote public appreciation for Cayman’s cultural and environmental heritage.
A Message from the Chamber
Chamber President-Elect Cristina Spratt applauded the graduates and the programme’s enduring legacy: “Tonight, we honour a remarkable group of professionals who have chosen to invest in themselves, their community, and their future. You’ve proven that leadership is not just a title—it’s action, dedication, and growth.”
Spratt also thanked title sponsors—Moore, A.L. Thompsons, Wheaton Precious Metals, and RBC—for their continued commitment to Leadership Cayman’s mission.
She encouraged the Class of 2025 to stay connected through the growing alumni network and to be ambassadors for the programme moving forward:
“Leadership Cayman is more than a programme—it’s a family.”
A Night to Remember
Each graduate received a plaque marking their official entry into the alumni network. Then came the Superlatives Awards, where graduates were celebrated with humorous and heartfelt titles like “Most Likely to Treat Everyone Like Family” and “Most Likely to Advocate for the Voiceless,” adding a personal touch to the evening’s formalities.
A slideshow recapped the Class’s journey—from their first dinner together to the retreat in Cayman Brac and seminars across the islands—drawing laughter and cheers from the crowd.
Looking Ahead
Class Chairman James Robinson closed the ceremony with a message of gratitude:
“This has been a unique experience of leadership and personal growth. Thank you for the friendships, the lessons, and the memories.”
As the Chamber celebrates 60 years of progress and community impact, the Leadership Cayman Class of 2025 stands as a testament to the future leaders who are ready, connected, and committed to making a difference.
