Police Respond to Single-Vehicle Collision in Bodden Town

On Tuesday May 19  Police, along with Fire and EMS were on the scene of a collision on Bodden Town Road, just west of the Vernon L. Jackson Memorial Library. The collision has resulted in damage to two utility poles and a wall in the area, resulting in power outages in the surrounding area (Coe Wood Beach to Manse Road). Two occupants of the vehicle have received what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries and have been transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment. CUC personnel are on location conducting repairs.

The roadway in the area was currently blocked while repairs were being conducted, and traffic is being diverted onto Anton Bodden Drive. Repairs are expected to continue until 10:00PM, and the road closures will remain in place until then.

Further updates will follow.
