Proud recipients of first aid certificates
The Cayman Rugby community can now boast that 16 members are now officially Mental Health First Aiders.
The team recently completed a two-day course delivered by the Addison Kelly Foundation with support from the Alex Panton Foundation. The course was led by Emily Kelly and Dymphna Carter.
A Cayman Rugby spokesperson said: “We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the organisations who continue to invest in the wellbeing of our community.
“We have walked away not only with knowledge and practical tools, but with the confidence to recognise when someone may be struggling, start a conversation, listen without judgement and help connect them with the right support.
“Because rugby is about more than what happens on the field. It’s about people. Connection. Belonging. Looking after each other.”
A huge thank you was given to the MAF NPO Foundation for making this possible through their continued commitment to the FIREE Project.
