Shelters Open Tomorrow, Tuesday 5 November Ahead of Tropical Storm Rafael*
The following hurricane shelters will open tomorrow, Tuesday 5 November ahead of expected conditions associated with Tropical Storm Rafael.
In the Sister Islands, the following shelters will be open from 6am:
• Aston Rutty Centre, Cayman Brac
• Multi-Purpose Hall (Sports Complex), Cayman Brac
• Public Works Department Building, Little Cayman
In Grand Cayman, the following shelters will open from 10am:
• John Gray Memorial Church Hall, West Bay
• Cayman Islands Red Cross, George Town
• John Gray High School Gymnasium (pet friendly), George Town
• East End Civic Centre
• Breakers Civic Centre
The public is reminded to bring their own food and water supplies if they are attending any of the hurricane shelters. Persons requiring medical assistance should also be accompanied by a caregiver.
