Stingray Media Group Acquires Caymanian Times

(“Stingray Media”) today announced it has acquired Caymanian Times, one of the
Cayman Islands’ leading local newspapers, in a move to build Cayman’s first fully
integrated technology media platform across print, radio, digital, and rewards.

Effective January 1, 2026, Caymanian Times will join Stingray’s portfolio of seven local
radio stations, eCay online marketplace, and the Stingray Rewards loyalty program.
Publisher Ralph Lewis, who founded the newspaper in 2013, will continue in his role
under the new ownership.

Stingray plans a phased investment program in Caymanian Times, including upgraded
design and print frequency, expanded distribution, added newsroom resources
(including a dedicated investigative unit), and deeper integration with Stingray’s digital
and data tools.

The combined group will use its platform to:
 Integrate Stingray Rewards with print, radio, and digital campaigns, allowing
readers and shoppers to earn and redeem points with local merchants.
 Run regular public polling on key issues, with results reported across
Stingray’s channels to give policymakers, businesses, and citizens a clearer view
of public sentiment.
 Strengthen investigative journalism with cross-platform storytelling in print,
audio, video, and data visualizations.
