The National Community Enhancement (NiCE) Programme Returns: Temporary Employment Opportunity for December 2025

The Ministry of Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure (PLAHI), under the leadership of the Hon. Johany ‘Jay’ Ebanks, is pleased to announce the return of the National Community Enhancement (NiCE) Programme for 2025. This year’s programme will run from 1–12 December 2025, offering short-term paid employment for eligible Caymanians to support a range of national beautification and community upliftment projects.
The NiCE Programme continues to play an essential role in enhancing public spaces across the Cayman Islands. Participants will contribute to a variety of community improvement activities, including roadside and park maintenance, beach clean-ups, and support for infrastructure upkeep—helping to ensure that the Cayman Islands remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
Hon. Jay Ebanks, Minister for Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure, emphasised the importance of the initiative:
“NiCE is more than a short-term employment programme. It empowers Caymanians to take pride in maintaining our communities while gaining valuable work experience. I encourage all eligible individuals to participate and support our collective effort to enhance and preserve the beauty of these Islands.”
About the NiCE Programme
The National Community Enhancement Programme provides short-term employment opportunities for Caymanians through structured community improvement projects. Participants gain practical work experience while contributing to the upkeep of public spaces and the overall enhancement of the local environment.
Registration Details
• Enrolment Opens: 18 November 2025
• Enrolment Closes: 23 November 2025 at midnight
• Eligibility: Caymanians aged 18 and older
