Tourism and Hospitality Open House Announced

The Ministry of Caymanian Employment and Immigration, in partnership with the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) and Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC), is pleased to invite Caymanians to attend a Tourism and Hospitality Open House on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort.

This event will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm and will provide participants with valuable insight into the diverse career opportunities within the tourism and hospitality sector. A highlight of the event will be an Orientation session, led by CITA, that focusses on Career Pathways and progression opportunities within the industry. Attendees will learn that a career in tourism and hospitality goes far beyond traditional roles, such as room service or bartending, and also includes opportunities is areas such as Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Engineering and much more. Caymanian attendees can expect to be enlightened about the various opportunities available.

Following the Orientation Session, an open forum will give Caymanian job seekers the opportunity to connect directly with employers who are actively recruiting for various positions across the sector. CITA has indicated that hoteliers and tourism- related businesses are eager to engage with Caymanian candidates, and a strong turnout is expected.

This event is open to:

• Caymanians

• Permanent Residents with the Right to Work

• Caymanian Status Holders

• Residency and Employment Rights Certificate (RERC) Holders

The Ministry has allocated space for 450 Caymanian job seekers to participate in the Open House. Eligible individuals are strongly encouraged to register and take advantage of this opportunity to explore real and rewarding career paths within Cayman’s world-class tourism and hospitality industry.
