UCCI AND CELEBRATIONS GROUP LTD LAUNCH SCHOLARSHIP TO POWER CAYMANIAN CAREERS IN HOSPITALITY AND EVENTS

The University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) and Celebrations Group Ltd have signed a letter of agreement establishing the Celebrations Group Scholarship for students pursuing hospitality management at UCCI in Fall 2025.

The scholarship provides $2,000 CI in financial support for the 2025-26 academic year, covering tuition, fees, books, and course materials for a Caymanian student pursuing a hospitality progamme. The recipient will also complete a three-to-six-month paid internship with Celebrations Group Ltd, gaining real-world experience with one of the Caribbean’s premier luxury event companies.

“This partnership represents exactly the kind of innovative approach we need to develop Cayman’s next generation of hospitality and events professionals,” said Dr. Livingston Smith, Acting President & CEO of UCCI. “By combining financial support with practical industry experience, we’re removing barriers to education while ensuring our students graduate with both academic credentials and market-ready skills.”

The scholarship targets students who demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and show strong commitment to academic achievement and community leadership. Selection will be made by UCCI’s Scholarship Committee.
