On Wednesday afternoon, 18 August, Police helicopter X-Ray One carried out an aerial assessment to identify any persons who may have been in distress and assess damage caused by Tropical Storm Grace.
On Wednesday night Government held an emergency meeting to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Grace after it battered the Cayman Islands as a tropical storm, with winds of 65mph.
Cayman was shaken by Tropical Storm Grace, and although it was officially not quite in the Hurricane class, many people were not prepared for the damage it caused.
