On Friday 30 April, the RCIPS was made aware of a video that was being circulated on various social media platforms and other electronic message groups, where a young woman stated that she has been experiencing domestic abuse.
Just before 12:40AM on Monday 3 May, officers responded to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where it was reported that a man was being treated for what is believed to be a gunshot wound.

Shortly before 12:45AM on Monday 12 April, officers responded to a report of an incident leading to a single vehicle collision on Martin Road, George Town.
At about 7:10PM on Saturday, 10 April, police received a report of an incident in the vicinity of Welly's Cool Spot, on Sound Road in George Town, where two men were reported to have brandished firearms during an altercation. The parties involved left the location prior to the arrival of officers.
Shortly after 5:20PM on Friday, 9 April, officers at the Bodden Town Police Station received a walk-in report of an incident that had occurred on Midnight Road in Bodden Town.
Police are currently on scene at a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus. The collision took place at the Frank Sound junction and the road was partially closed. No children were involved in the collision.
