Officers from the West Bay Police Station, Community Policing Unit and Traffic Roads Policing Unit have been carrying out increased traffic enforcement operations in the West Bay District in response to growing community concerns about speeding and unsafe driving practices.
Earlier on Saturday morning 20 February, shortly after 10:30AM, officers responded to a report of a water-related collision at Coe Wood Beach in Bodden Town.
On Friday morning, 12 February, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a medical facility on Smith Road in the vicinity of Pines Drive. The burglary occurred sometime between 6:00PM on Thursday, 11 February and 7:00AM Friday.
Shortly after 9:30PM on Saturday, 13 February, officers responded to a traffic collision on Shedden Road, west of Vibert Bodden Drive, involving a white Toyota Aristo and a grey Volkswagen Golf.
Shortly after 8:30 PM on Friday, 12 February, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Watercourse Road and Hell Road in West Bay, involving a police service vehicle and a gold Honda Accord.
The Financial Crime Investigation Unit (FCIU) have recently received reports that a number of business owners have received letters in the mail informing them that they are the recipients of a sizeable inheritance from a distant relative.
On Tuesday morning, 9 February, RCIPS officers in North Side conducted a proactive operation in the vicinity of Further Road, North Side. Officers conducted a search of a property under the Misuse of Drugs Law and recovered bags containing suspected ganja, as well as ganja plants.
Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control (CBC) confirms that a vessel with migrants arrived in Cayman Brac this afternoon with a total of 6 persons, 4 males and 2 females.
Following checks conducted by the RCIPS at certain business establishments, including nightclubs and bars, several of these establishments were found to be in breach of the Private Security Services Act by employing security personnel who were not licenced or whose licenses were expired.
