Shortly after 4:00PM on Thursday, 16 April, officers on patrol in George Town were dispatched to a report of a person riding an illegal motorbike recklessly in the Crewe Road area, who had failed to stop when instructed to do so by officers.
Given the uncertainty in coordinating airbridge and evacuation flights, an amnesty has been implemented with immediate effect against prosecution of persons for overstaying, and will remain in effect until further notice.

Just after 10:30AM on Saturday 18 April, police and other emergency services were dispatched to Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Pedro Castle Road. It was reported that a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist had taken place at the location.
