The annual St. Ignatius Christmas Concert and Fundraiser took place on Monday, December 16th in the Loyola Hall.
After some wonderful music from the school bands, the evening finished with the grand prize drawing of CI$25,000, won by Marcos Gaylon Jr. (#4503). The second prize of CI$2500 was claimed by Breda Meehan (#4874), and third prize of US$2500 went to Jersen Fernandes (#6242).
The five Cayman Airways USD $300 travel vouchers went to Tamara Reid Vernon (#5864), Raphael Noel (#4271), Pamfilo Escarial (#2148), Ronaldo Del Rosario (#6871) and Ryan Carosello (#1221).
Seventeen other winners received restaurant gift certificates from LUCA, Ragazzi, or Treats.
The prize drawing was fully audited and witnessed by a team of five from KPMG. All winners were telephoned and full results are on the home page of st-ignatius.com and the school Facebook page.
St. Ignatius Church will invest proceeds towards facilities improvements in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. Some of the proceeds will also support local charity work undertaken by the church. The school will use the funds towards its facilities development fund. A quarter of the proceeds go to the scholarship fund, which provides tuition assistance for those families who are unable to afford full school fees.
