At about 9:30PM on Sunday, 29 June, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store on Reverend Blackman Road in West Bay.
The man, age 33, residing in Bodden Town, who was arrested on 11 December, 2024, has been formally charged with Murder and Abduction, in relation to the death of two-year-old Alissady Powell, whose body was found on the iron shore in Cayman Brac on 26 July 2022.
Police are aware of fraudulent text messages being received by local numbers, which claim that urgent action is needed, and provide a link to rectify the issue.
Police have confirmed the identity of the victim who was discovered to have been shot and killed on Monday, 23 June, as Al Martino Bush, age 49 of West Bay, known in the community as Joe.
At about 11:20AM on Monday, 23 June, officers were despatched to a report of a shooting incident at an address on Watercourse Road, West Bay. One man was found unresponsive at the location and has subsequently been pronounced dead.

Just before 1:30 PM on Tuesday 17 June, officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service and Public Lands Commission responded to the Seven Mile Public Beach where it was reported that drugs were being sold in the area.
Just after 8:15 AM on Wednesday, 11 June, police were on patrol in the area of Shedden Road, in George Town, when they observed a vehicle with no registration plates attached and whose occupants appeared to be behaving suspiciously.
