Christmas is just around the corner, so each week until the big day we bring you a sample of great gifts you can buy on island that won’t break the bank!
We start this week with a business that is always synonymous with Christmas, Pure Art. Who doesn’t love a browse around this iconic store, especially at Christmas time? Here are three gift suggestions from this great little store.
1) Hand-painted driftwood Santas by Gale Tibbetts, who makes amazing individual ornaments. Each is unique. Gale is known for her resin art as well as her Caymanite jewellery. CI$12 to CI$28.
2) Mar candles are made by a neighbour of Pure Art. These are coconut soy natural, island-scented candles which are fab as secret Santa or hostess gifts. The artist does refills for Pure Art and the candles are all environmentally-safe, with no nasty fumes. CI$15.
3) The 2022 Cayman desk calendar is made by Pure Art owner Debbie van der Bol and makes a wonderful gift to mail overseas, a stocking stuffer, or as a great usable gift. The art is cute, and comes framed as well. Debbie has been an artist in Cayman for 35 years and this is her ninth year doing this style of calendar. CI$12.
If you are a local business owner and your goods or service would make great Christmas presents that are CI$30 or under then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try and feature them.
