On Sunday June 25th, patrons were treated to some of the best talents in the Cayman Islands. Produced by The New Self-Help Foundation, the 22nd Talent Exposition of Arts was extremely Impressive, spectacular and well-presented.  The two-hour show did not disappoint and delivered a most delightful array of young talents in all areas of the performing arts.

“We believe the performing arts provide ways to raise awareness and inspire creative solutions,” CEO, JC Connor. “For a nation to succeed, it must stimulate and cultivate the creative imagination of its young people. Creativity is core to who we are; the performing arts build a strong foundation for who we become. The demand for creative thinking is increasing in the performing arts; therefore, a transformative change is needed. When young people are encouraged, they become authors of new works,” he added.

Research shows that students who are highly encouraged in the arts, humanities and science are more involved in their communities. Igniting creative confidence in young people can enable them to launch creative careers and find innovate means of improving their society. When youth are engaged in the creative arts, they become authors of new works proving that performing arts as a core part of education just like reading, writing, science and arithmetic, help young performers to aachieve their greatest potential, in this new global knowledge-based economy and society.

The organisers wish to thank their many sponsors and supporters for their donations, attendance and encouragement as the foundation looks forward to its 23rd performance.
