Conyers Articled Clerk admitted as Cayman Islands attorney-at-law

Conyers is pleased to announce that Joseph ‘Zeppi’ Barefoot has been admitted as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands, following completion of his articled clerkship in the Cayman Office.

Zeppi was sworn in before Justice Ramsay-Hale on Thursday, 15 October with many friends, family and colleagues in attendance at the ceremony.

Zeppi joined Conyers’ Articled Clerkship Programme in January 2019, an 18-month training programme which supports and develops local talent in the Cayman Islands legal industry.

Prior to joining Conyers for his clerkship, Zeppi was a recipient of the Conyers Legal Education Award and interned with the firm.

Zeppi has joined Conyers’ corporate practice as an Associate and comes to Conyers with a Master of the Arts in Law from the University of Bristol, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law (Bristol). Zeppi also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Cardiff University.

Zeppi’s clerkship saw him undertaking rotations across Conyers’ various practice areas including Insurance & Regulatory, General Corporate, Funds, Litigation and Trusts & Private Client.
