GraceKennedy Money Services, - Western Union agent – Responds to High Demand with Additional Call Line Support

Following last week’s reopening of GraceKennedy Money Services (GKMS) Cayman Western Union, there has been an unprecedented level of customer demand for money transfer services and some clients may have encountered challenges in contacting the dedicated appointment support numbers.

In an effort to be responsive to the needs of the community in accessing essential money transmission services, GKMS has increased call support staff, as well as added an additional call in number 345-943-4700 to support the existing appointment-only system for customers doing business in their Grand Cayman locations. This as the company maintains its commitment to social distancing requirements and to prevent possible crowding.

Available locations are:

• Fosters Airport, 63A Dorcy Drive, George Town, Grand Cayman

• Fosters Camana Bay, Solaris Avenue, Camana Bay, Grand Cayman

• Fosters Republix, 2373 Willie Farrington Drive, West Bay, Grand Cayman

• L&M Super Store, 447 Bigh Road, Cayman Brac

Opening hours to the public on Grand Cayman are Monday to Saturday from 6 am to 7 am for the elderly and the disabled, and 7 am – 6 pm for the general public. On Cayman Brac opening hours are 9 am – 6 pm.

The appointments are arranged as follows:

Persons with surnames beginning with A - K can make an appointment for any of the above locations for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While persons with surnames beginning with L- Z, can make an appointment for any of the above locations for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

To make an appointment customers must place a phone call Monday to Friday between 9am-1pm on the following numbers: FOSTERS: 345-943-4700, 345-916-5097 or 345-547-2624 and L&M SUPER STORE: 345-928-0405 or 345-948-0245. Customers must state their name, preferred day and preferred location at time of calling. A confirmation message will then be sent detailing the appointment.

Customers will have to provide their confirmation message as proof of their appointment to the Front Line Associate (FLA).

The company is reminding customers that we take their safety seriously, so when coming to visit the locations, they must ensure they practice the recommended protocols. These include: practising the required physical distancing of 6ft, wearing a mask covering their nose and mouth, and sanitizing their hands on entering our locations and after receiving documents and or money.
