Committed to offering Caymanian students an opportunity to pursue careers in local healthcare, the Health Services Authority (HSA) will open applications for its Summer Student Internship Programme on April 1, 2025. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2025.
Last year, the HSA hosted 100 students in various clinical and non-clinical departments, providing them with first-hand experience in navigating the professional world and building their resumes.
The programme will run for 4-8 week periods throughout June to September.
Samantha Bennett, Chief Human Resources Officer at the HSA noted, “our Summer Student Internship Programme is an investment in the future of our local community. By opening our doors to young talent, we’re helping to build skills, create career pathways, and strengthen the local healthcare sector and economy. We are proud to support the next generation of professionals and contribute to a thriving, connected community.”
Caymanians continue to account for the majority of employees at the HSA (52%), making significant contributions in the clinical, clinical support and non-clinical departments.
