Dms put on a big Spookfest for little kids at Pedro St. James Castle, on Saturday 30 October. There were all kinds of fancy dress costumes, from the really spooky ones to some that were just funny or just great, like a great big pumpkin outfit which Justin’s dad had made for him. Then there were a pair of Harry Potters, too, pottering about and trying all the different fun stalls, along with plenty of witches and quite a few ghosts, too. What was really great was that the kids got a treat whether or not they actually won anything, and pretty soon, their ‘trick or treat,’ buckets were filling right up.
“It’s fantastic, its well-coordinated, and my little one has had the most fun, which is always the most important aspect of the day,” said Zane, one of the dads. There were some refreshment and cake stalls too, and Jazzy Cakes’ owner Elizabeth Larsen was selling all kinds of spooky-themed cakes, including spider’s web cookies and pumpkin flavored brownies.
Dms’ General Sales Manager, Michael Keesee said: “Today’s our annual Spookfest, our Halloween event for families. It’s free to the public and we’ve partnered with Pedro St James this year. It’s a little unique this year, making sure that the Covid restrictions are met, but every is having a lot of fun, and the turnout has been really good, despite the rain.”
