Latest Update on TS Melissa by the C.I. National Weather Service

he storm continues to drift towards the northwest at 3 mph as Melissa becomes better organized. There has not been much change to the forecast track since the last update, with the system still expected to move across Jamaica as a major hurricane.

This track continues to suggest a possible reduction of the potential weather impacts anticipated over the Cayman Islands. There still remains some degree of uncertainty and we continue to closely monitor this storm as it is forecasted to move generally, westward to south of Jamaica by Monday.

Residents are encouraged to continue monitoring official channels closely for any updates, potential impacts, or advisories for the Cayman Islands.
