The Taste of Cayman kicked off with a special welcoming event for the visiting celebrity chefs, held at the Grand Cayman Marriott on Friday, 13th May.

Mr. Sanderson noted that he was the first man of colour to win Canada’s top chef and planned to showcase the, “different elements of spices and flavours that the Caribbean is known for, before heading to New York to do more cooking and to experience amazing meals and collaborations, working with other chefs.”

He added that the organisers were grateful for all of the restaurants and hotels involved with the this year’s event.
“The Marriott sponsored all of this and they will be creating and we are so pleased to be able to welcome our celebrity chefs in style,” he remarked.
