Schools Remain Open on Monday, Closed on Tuesday

Further to the issuance of a Hurricane Watch by the Cayman Islands National Weather
Service, the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Department of Education Services (DES)
are actively monitoring the developing weather situation with the safety and well-being of
our students as our paramount concern.

As such, we can confirm that all government schools and the University College of the
Cayman Islands (UCCI) will proceed with regular operations on Monday, 4 November.

However, all educational institutions will be closed on Tuesday, 5 November, to ensure
the continued safety of students and staff as weather conditions are expected to
deteriorate at that time.

The MOE and DES will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates through their
social media channels.
