St Kitts and Nevis is safer to visit now

St Kitts and Nevis has quickly got its startling coronavirus outbreak under control. It has secured an additional 5,000 doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines.

The second phase of the vaccination programme commences on Thursday. In the first phase of the vaccination programme, a total of 41,850 doses of the vaccines were administered to citizens and residents in the SKN.

Also, 22,937 adults or 69.4 percent of the target population, received at least one dose of the vaccine and 18,913 adults or 57.2 percent received both doses.

Prime Minister Timothy Harris said that his government expects to soon announce several relief measures to alleviate difficulties faced by the poor and vulnerable.
