Delayed School Bus Services in the Eastern Districts due to Motor Vehicle Accident.
The Department of Education Services (DES) advises the parents, guardians, students and wider community that several school buses experienced delays in transporting students to school on Monday morning.
This delay occurred after an accident involving a school bus owned by the JerNat Bus Company. The accident occurred after a motorcycle collided with the bus as it exited its Mimosa Lane compound on to the main road.
The other buses that remained in the depot were impeded from exiting the compound for some time, as a result of the blockage caused by the accident.
Fortunately, there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident, nor were any students injured or harmed in any way. All buses have since been dispatched to their regular routes.
The DES will keep the public informed of any developments in this situation. The RCIPS has released an official statement about the accident.
