Triple C School Celebrates Class of 2025 with Faith, Pride and Inspiration

Joy, gratitude, faith,  and a sense of deep accomplishment filled the Family Life Centre on Monday evening, June 9, as Triple C School proudly honoured the graduating Class of 2025 in a stirring Commencement Ceremony defined by heartfelt reflections, Christian values, and unwavering encouragement.

Set beneath the soaring arches of the Centre’s packed auditorium, the graduates gathered one final time as a class—surrounded by teachers, proud families, and lifelong friends—to mark the end of one journey and the bright beginning of another. It was a night steeped in memory and hope, guided by the unshakable foundation of faith.

Opening the ceremony, Head of School Mrs. Leonora Mendoza-Hydes welcomed attendees with grace and warmth. She reminded all in attendance that graduation is more than a milestone—it is a celebration of perseverance and the promise of the future. “It’s a time when we come together to acknowledge and acclaim the achievements of our students, and God’s faithfulness to our school community,” she said. Mrs. Mendoza-Hydes saluted not just academic achievement, but character and conviction, noting that success is forged as much in quiet discipline as it is in triumph. “A degree is optional,” she emphasized, “but maturity and integrity are not.”

Following her address, Salutatorian Allan Wagner II offered a deeply personal tribute to his peers, lauding their strength of character, shared history, and resilience. His speech resonated with wisdom beyond his years as he expressed confidence that their varied experiences, shaped in part by their time at Triple C, would serve as a strong compass—pointing toward meaningful lives led with courage, purpose, and the guiding hand of God.

Chairman of the Triple C Board of Directors, Mr. Roy Bodden, brought institutional pride and perspective to the evening. “Tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” he said, “you are going to witness the product of this excellent institution.” Reflecting on the school’s legacy, he reminded those gathered that Triple C holds the distinction of providing the longest continuous offering of Christian secondary education in Cayman’s history. He spoke directly to parents and guardians, assuring them that graduates are prepared to meet the world not only with knowledge but with discernment, spiritual grounding, and a Christian worldview capable of navigating life’s complexities.

The evening’s featured Commencement Address was delivered by Triple C alumnus Mr. Scott Burley, Class of 2015. In an honest and moving speech, he reflected on the mixture of anxiety and ambition he once felt as a graduate in the very same seats, asking whether he would go on to make his family—and God—proud. “Despite my years of education,” he shared, “I felt an intense lack of accountability and thereby, identity.” It was through embracing discomfort and wrestling with life’s unknowns that he uncovered lasting meaning. His message to the graduates was clear: “The most beautiful things in life, God has always placed on the other side of my worst terrors.”

Valedictorian Anya Anya Davis rounded out the evening with a bright, affirming speech that painted a vibrant portrait of life at Triple C. With warmth and humor, she reminisced about lunchtime games, shared jokes, and quiet study sessions that bound the class together like family. “Big personalities and even bigger dreams,” she mused, adding that their shared experiences—both academic and personal—would give them the strength to thrive in any setting. “We have more than just academics—we have skills, a Christian background, and integrity to make a positive contribution to society,” she said.

It was also noted that the graduates being celebrated had gathered the night before for an Academic Awards and Baccalaureate ceremony—another chance to reflect, worship, and honour those who had excelled across subject areas. The event highlighted not only top achievers but the unity of a class that has grown together, spiritually and intellectually, throughout their years at Triple C.

As the ceremony came to a close, the Class of 2025 rose together, not with fanfare, but with a quiet dignity Hugs were shared, photographs captured, and tears gently wiped away. And in the soft applause and well-wishing embraces that followed, one could almost hear the message echoing through the years: the race is run, the faith is kept, and the journey continues—stronger, wiser, and ready for whatever comes next.
