The Office of the Ombudsman submitted an interim report of its Own-Motion Investigation (OMI) at the Cayman Islands Detention Centre to the Commissioner of Police and HE the Governor on 21 August 2025.
At approximately 7:30 AM on Friday, 29 August, police executed a search warrant at an address on Kennedy Drive in George Town.
Just before 1015PM on Saturday, 30 August, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a serious stabbing incident at a residence on Double Tree Lane.
Just after 2:30 AM this morning, officers on patrol came across a vehicle with the engine running on Shedden Road in George Town.
Shortly after 11:10PM on Tuesday, 26 August, officers responding to a loud music report at an address on Doubletree Lane in Bodden Town, observed a man who was wanted in relation to a previous wounding incident.
Just after 8:00PM on Monday, 25 August 2025, officers observed a BMW travelling dangerously on West Bay Road near Cemetery Beach.
Shortly before 11:00PM on Sunday, 24 August, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery which was said to have occurred at about 9:00PM the same night at Rum Point beach.
At about 5:30PM on Friday, 22 August, officers on patrol in the Industrial Park area of George Town, observed a vehicle which had been reported stolen travelling on Seymour Drive.
Shortly before 12:20PM on Saturday, 16 August, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a jewellery store on Albert Panton Street, George Town.
The four men who were arrested following the interception of a vessel suspected of illicit activity on Thursday, 14 August, have now been formally charged.
